Lower back exercises

The spinal erectors run the length of your spine and hold it steady under everything — squats, deadlifts, carrying a kid. Training them directly (back extensions, good mornings) builds the endurance that keeps long days from ending in an aching back. Progress slowly here; this is a marathon muscle group, not a sprint one.
