Two wolves chase the sky.

In the old Norse story, Skol chases the sun and Hati chases the moon. We borrowed the pair for a simple idea: progress is a day job and a night job. Training and nutrition move you forward. Sleep and recovery keep what you earned. Most fitness media sells you the first half and bills the second half as an afterthought.

Skol & Hati is a publication about both halves, written in plain numbers for people with full lives — 20–40 minutes at a time, sources named, nothing gated.

House Skol — the day
Training, nutrition, output. What you do.
House Hati — the night
Sleep, recovery, habits. What you keep.

Who writes this

[Founder Name] — former professional athlete
Every breakdown is written and fact-checked against the named sources before it ships. Corrections get a dated note, not a quiet edit.

What we sell, and what we don’t

Right now, nothing. The breakdowns are free, the weekly is free, and neither is a lead magnet for something waiting behind them. A workout app is being built — it fits sessions to the minutes you actually have — and when it’s ready it will be the one paid thing here. No supplements, no coaching upsell, no ads. Where an article links a product we’d buy anyway, it’s marked as an affiliate link, and that policy lives here.

The rules we write by
01The answer comes first — under the headline, in 60 words or less.
02Every stat carries a named source you can check.
03Nothing is gated. Ever.
04General-audience information — not medical advice. We say so on every page.
WHERE THIS GOES

Do. Keep. Know.

Skol is what you do. Hati is what you keep. There is a third verb, and it is where this is headed: know.

Skol & Hati is written by a dad who kept meeting the same gap — training advice built for empty calendars, and recovery advice built on vibes. The people who need plain numbers most have the least time to find them: parents, caretakers, anyone whose 6am already belongs to someone else. We write for them first. The door stays open to anyone with a full life.

Today, that means two things. We publish what to do — training and nutrition in numbers you can check. And what to keep — sleep and recovery, programmed like they matter, because they do.

The long game is a third pillar: knowing your own numbers. Not guessing whether the plan is working — seeing it, plainly, the way you would read a training log. We are not there yet, and we won’t pretend otherwise. If we build tools for that, they will follow the rules already on this page: plain numbers, named sources, no hype. And the same line will still apply — general-audience information, not medical advice.

Do the work. Keep what you earn. Know your numbers. Chase it. Day and night.

Two ideas a week — one day, one night.
